EMBRACE Badjao is committed to improving the livelihood of the Badjao community through a number of focused initiatives.
Educational Initiatives
EMBRACE Badjao funds a Community Centre in the centre of the Badjao Village which will serve as the hub for the educational initiatives. Without any educational facilities within the village currently, there is a barrier to entry for the community to get formal education. The cost alone is often prohibitive for the parents of this impoverished community to be able to send their children to school. EMBRACE will fund a community centre to remove these barriers and provide free education for the children of the Badjao community.
Nutritional Initiatives
Living in extreme poverty, many of the community suffer from malnourishment. EMBRACE will provide food and clean water to the community to mitigate against the food insecurity faced by the Badjao.
Medical Aid
As a community, the Badjao are often left without basic medical aid. EMBRACE aims to provide the Badjao with this crucial support by paying for essential health services, such as medicine. This medical assistance will help the community to stay healthy and have a better quality of life overall.
